We flirted a lot with each other behind the sets. I really liked her; however, she was only 15 and therefore not old enough to date. So I did not ask her out. I danced with her a couple of times at the school/church dances that spring.
I graduated from high school and went to BYU the following fall. Then I went on a mission to Munich Germany. When I came home in January 1989, Annette was now a senior in high school.
The week after I came home, I went to Pizza Hut with my family. Annette worked there and waited on our table. I thought she was cuter than before my mission. So I asked her on a date.
She accepted my invitation. It was my first date after my mission.
We went to my house and watched a movie with my family. I really enjoyed the date and felt then that Annette was the "one" for me.
