When the kids were younger, we had a collection of "Golden Books." Golden books is a series of children's books. I do not remember for sure all of the books we had; however, our set included The Poky Little Puppy (according to Wikipedia, the best selling children's book of all time) and Three Little Kittens. I believe we had about 8 to 10 books in the "little golden book" series.
Jamie LOVED the golden books. When she was about four, she decided that she could not sleep without the golden books. Each night when it was time for bed, she would carefully gather all of the golden books that we owned and put them in her bed. She refused to go to bed until she had found all of them.
I suspect she would read some of them in bed using the light from the night light after we would leave the room.
