My Grandma and Grandpa Jasperson lived in Afton, Wyoming (515 E 4th Ave). Their house was about 25 miles away from the ranch in Thayne where I grew up. We would often go to visit Grandma and Grandpa. When I was really young, I remember staying at Grandma's house until after Johnny Carson did his opening monologue on the Tonight Show.
When we would leave Grandma's house to go home, I remember Dad telling me to go to sleep while we drove and we would get home faster. I also remember going to sleep and then waking up when Dad carried me from the car to my bed. I was amazed that it seemed like only moments ago that I went to sleep and we were already home!
It was several years later that I learned we had not time traveled! Time does not go faster when you are asleep. It just seems like it does.
