In early 2009, we were at dinner and Tate spilled his milk on the table. Tate proclaimed, "Someone spilled the milk!" To which I replied, "You are right. Who would do such a thing?"
Tate proudly responded "Me!"
On a different night, a year or two later, Tate wanted more milk. However, there was no more milk left in the milk jug on the table. He got down from the table and retrieved a new gallon of milk from the fridge. He was not strong enough to lift the milk jug by the handle to carry it. He had to use his arms wrapped the jug to carry the milk from the fridge to the table.
Tate opened the milk and used both hands to tip the milk while leaving the bottom of the jug on the table near his cup (remember, he was not strong enough to lift the jug by the handle). That worked reasonably well to fill his cup with milk. HOWEVER, his arms got tired and he was not strong enough to tip the milk jug back upright after his cup was filled.
SO......
He left the jug tipped and poured an entire gallon of milk on the table! The milk then ran to the floor.
Mom yelled at Tate and spanked him because she had mopped the floor that very day. As Tate was crying and cleaning up the milk from the floor, Tanner said, "Tate, don't cry over spilled milk! Unless you pour the whole gallon on the floor."
