Your parents agreed to let us live in the cabin in Grover Park for the first month of our marriage while I finished driving bus and caring for the ranch. (It turned out to be about 6 weeks.)
The week before we got married, Mom, Keri, and I thoroughly cleaned the cabin and set it up all nice. We moved in a wooden-frame couch, a waterbed, and curtains for the windows. It was one of my little surprises for you...a cute little love haven for our honeymoon!
We spent several happy-go-lucky days playing in the pond and exploring the property around the cabin. We even carved our “pet” names (Phred & Wilma) for each other on a tree on the property. (The tree is on the hill about halfway between the cabin and the gate...see pictures below from summer 2005.)
We also worked diligently to finish calving on the ranch and take care of the spring planting and other farm work.
