I have always admired your resourcefulness and willingness to make things do or do without. In particular, I love that you have made so many things for our home. Here are some memories of homemade stuff.
I remember making homemade bread for the first time in our apartment in Orem (I think we have a picture somewhere of our GIANT loaves). Our recipe produced more bread than our number of bread pans. So, we just made huge loaves! Thank you for becoming such a good bread baker!
I splurged and bought you a sewing machine for your birthday. It gave me super warm fuzzies to see you remake my old t-shirts and pants into clothes for Jamie, Tanner, and Allyn. Remember the cool covers you made for the stroller while you were on bed rest with Tanner? What a lover you were! Thank you for your frugality. I am sure we have been blessed extensively for the frugal use of our resources.
I love that we can still use the quiet book you made in Tallahassee. That must have been the best homemaking project ever! I remember planning out the letters of the alphabet and watching your creativity as you devised the different activities to have in the book. Our children will love you forever for your dedication in creating that fun piece of church memory for them. We should probably start building one for each of our children to have then when they have babies.
