20th Anniversary Memory - Fifteenth Anniversary Date

I wanted to make our 15th anniversary something special. We had already accepted the job at Texas A&M University. We had a contract to sell our house. We had lots of changes on the horizon of our future. I asked Jamie if she could help me plan a few things. (She was a ready and willing assistant.)

I made reservations for a night in the “Prairie House” cottage at the Montford Inn bed and breakfast in Norman. Jamie agreed to watch the kids for an overnight stay. You had weaned Ashton early, so it was possible.

I checked into the Montford in the early afternoon. I had an overnight bag for you (Jamie helped me get your makeup, curling iron, brushes, etc.) and several gifts to surprise you with. I got everything set in the cottage and came home to get you.

I picked up pizza from Pizza Hut on the way home. I came into the house and placed a blindfold over your eyes. I took you out to the car. I left Jamie and Tanner with pizza and a movie. I drove you blindfolded to the “Prairie House” cottage. I escorted you into the cottage. I had everything ready for a romantic dinner for two. Did we have cheesecake for dessert?

We watched a movie together, played some board games, and enjoyed time together away from the kids. The next morning, we had breakfast brought to the cottage.

This is one of my favorite date memories. It was so much fun for me to plan a surprise for you. I love you!
