Allyn and Mike got married at 5:30 p.m. on the beach in Corpus Christi on December 31, 2023. The setting was beautiful as the sun was going down.
I walked Allyn down the "aisle". She looked radiant.

Several people were flying kites nearby. The kites were all staked to the ground.

We drove to Corpus Christi earlier in the day. It was the first long distance trip with the Mustang for which we needed to charge along the way.
We stopped in Cuero Texas to charge. The charging station was on a lot that had a covered outdoor eating area. Annette had made ham sandwiches for us to eat. So, we had a picnic lunch.

Annette and I also played two games of corn hole while we waited. I won the first game. Annette won the second game.
On the side of the lot was a storefront building that had a neon beer mug over one door and a neon place setting over another door. The third door had nothing over it. While we ate our lunch, several people in non-EVs drove up, parked, and went inside this building.
After we finished our sandwiches, Allyn and Mike said they were going to walk across the street to Bush's Chicken because they were still hungry. I told them they should go inside the door marked with a neon place setting instead. They agreed to check it out.
It turns out the place was a small business named The EV Thing. They had a small food menu (tacos, sandwiches, pastries, hand dipped ice cream). So, they ordered some brisket tacos and mom and I had ice cream.
The stop to charge was a pleasant surprise.
We got to the Corpus Christi airport at 4:00 p.m. Allyn and Mike got a rental car. Mom and I drove to our hotel and arrived at 4:18 p.m. We were supposed to be on the beach at 5:20 p.m. for the wedding (which started at 5:30). The beach location was 39 miles away, and we only had 4% battery in the car.
After we checked into our room, I ordered an Uber while Annette changed into her dress. The Uber was seven minutes away and said we would get to the beach location at 5:20. I changed clothes, and we ran downstairs to meet the Uber just as it arrived.
We arrived at the beach at 5:18 p.m.!
After the wedding Annette and I went to dinner with Mike's parents at Doc's Seafood and Steak Restaurant. When we told them that we needed to get an Uber to meet them at the restaurant, they volunteered to be our Uber instead.

So Steven and Lorie drove us to the restaurant and back to our hotel after dinner.
