Your roommates asked me if I was going to take you to the BYU Homecoming Dance. I told them I could not afford to buy a ticket. They said I really should and then they bought a ticket to the dance for me (I think the ticket cost $20 - $30). Then I had to invite you. The homecoming dance was a few days after I asked you to marry me.
While we saw each other a couple of times during the days after I proposed, we did not really talk about my proposal. (Of course, that was torture for me! I worried you were going to decline.) I believe I cooked dinner for you at your apartment and then we went to the dance. I took the ring with me in my pocket to the dance. After the dance, we went to the Provo Temple and sat on the grassy hill on the east side of the temple grounds. I pulled the ring out of my pocket and asked you again to marry me. You accepted and kept the ring!
I love you! Thank you for saying yes!
