May 4, 200? (either 2003 or 2004). Our anniversary! We planned dinner and a movie at home. We fed the kids early and had them all in bed by 7:00 p.m. we were getting ready to cook a steak dinner. Suddenly the tornado siren blared!
Oh no! We gathered the children into the hall bathroom and tuned into the radio to listen to the storm watcher. After 30 minutes or so, the siren was off, and the storm appeared to be moving to the north. We settled the kids back into bed and cooked our dinner.
We started the movie and the tornado siren blared again! We gathered the children and turned on the radio. But there was no information on the radio about the storm. The siren stopped. We put the kids down again. We finished the movie and went to bed. Tornado siren again, … and again, … and again, … and again. Every hour or so for the entire night!
What a memorable to celebrate our anniversary!
